1. Do you carry liquor liability insurance?
Non-negotiable for most venues. Ask for a certificate.
2. Is my date available?
Confirm the service hours too.
3. Do you provide the alcohol?
Often the couple buys the alcohol and the bar serves it. Clarify this!
4. Do your bartenders check IDs?
Responsible service protects you and your guests.
5. How many bartenders are included?
Rule of thumb: 1 bartender per 75-100 guests.
6. Are ice, cups, mixers and napkins included?
Or do you need to buy 50 bags of ice yourself?
7. Can you create signature cocktails?
Will they help you design a menu?
8. What are your power and space needs?
Standard outlet or generator? Will the trailer fit through the gate?
9. What are the travel fees?
Important when booking across the state for a rural wedding.
10. What is the deposit and payment schedule?
Most vendors take 25-50% to hold your date. Get the balance due date in writing.
